Free Flu Vaccination for Carers over the age of 18

Carers over the age of 18 can use their Durham County Carers card to receive a free Flu Vaccination in pharmacies across County Durham.

It makes sense for Carers to protect themselves as the NHS fear the approaching winter to be the worse flu season in many years.

When Carers protect themselves they  are also reducing the risk to the person you care for.

Carers need to present their Carers Card at their  local pharmacy to receive this free of charge.

Please note – up to 80% of pharmacies in County Durham are offering this service, so  people need to ask at the point of booking and if they are not providing it FREE they should  try an alternative pharmacy.
